Join Murder n’ Mayhem for a 1-mile Historical True Crime Tour of the Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego. You will walk through several eras in time as you explore interesting stories of history and true crime.
We will dive into the fascinating history of downtown San Diego, from its earliest days to the notorious era of the Stingaree. Hear the haunting tale of a gambler’s untimely demise at a historic hotel, with rumors of his ghost still lingering in his room. Then, we’ll take you back to the roaring 1920s, a time of murder, revenge and slavery in San Diego. Discover the story of the third victim of a notorious serial killer and uncover one of the most horrific crimes to occur in downtown San Diego. Plus, we’ll take you to the “dead zone”, sharing tales of this intersection’s most chilling moments. Don’t miss out on this spine-tingling journey through San Diego’s dark past.

Please note parking in the Gaslamp Quarter is limited and is not free! Be sure to arrive early enough to give yourself plenty of time to find parking or you may want to ride the Trolley. This event is downtown so you may want to check to see if there are other events going on that would require additional time for parking. Our tours start promptly at the designated start time and we reserve the right to scalp your tickets if you don’t arrive on time.
You will meet your Lead Detective at Henry’s Pub, 618 5th Ave, San Diego CA 92101. He or She will be near the door marked 614.

If we are unable to meet the tour minimum, we will reach out to you 3 hours before the event with a low attendance warning. If we still have not met the minimum at 2 hours prior we will gladly reschedule to a time and day of your choice or refund your purchase.
No, we do not enter any buildings during this tour.
We try to make final weather decisions 2 hours before the event. The tour will run in a light rain. In the case of a downpour we will give you the option to run in the rain or cancel. In heavy rain we will contact you 2 hours before the event to see what you would prefer. If you cancel, you will have the option to reschedule for a future date or a refund.
